The sun is shining brightly The children out at play But dark clouds in my mind Just will not go away I waited such a long time For him to come along I still cannot believe The fact that he is gone I look forward to the winter The dark forbidding sky At least when there is darkness No one sees me cry His friends have kept their promise Still smile and wave at me I did not know their promise Would cause such agony Their screams and shrieks of pleasure Which once brought so much fun Now just fuels the darks clouds That blocks the shining sun I look forward to the winter The bleakness and the rain With everybody gloomy No one sees my pain I once enjoyed the summer The long and balmy days But still no match for Nathan And his funny little ways The sun that has such power To bring happiness and light Still no match for Nathan’s smile Just one made all feel right I look forward to the winter The weather oh so grim In my heart its always winter No summer without him
